- Foundations for Simulation Education: a two-day overview for up to 15 trainees who are novices to simulation. Dates just addded for Winter 2008-9 & Spring 2009 - Get Directions and Additional Info like Hotels
- Sim Tech Academy (STA)
A three day course for up to 12 individuals who are in a novice to advanced beginner sim tech role or have been asked to run simulations. Dates: TBA in the Portland Area

SPA - Sim Practical Apprenticeship
The course is designed and geared for the advanced beginner. 6 four-hour training sessions (24 hours) with one participant to one faculty member.

- CONGRATULATIONS KAISER-NORTHWEST REGION’S SIMULATION CENTER
The Kaiser Northwest Region’s Simulation Center, located at Kaiser Sunnyside, is a co-winner of the Kaiser 2008 Lawrence Patient Safety Award.
Sandy Heresa, Georgina Ottaviano, Trish Weaver and Paul Burley were recognized for their simulation program which is an effective strategy to improve team performance, communication and culture.
Kaiser Permanente Northwest was recognized as a national leader in simulation and will be working with its Kaiser partners to share their simulation knowledge and expertise.
They will receive the award at a dinner in Oakland, California in early December.
